Highly Marelli announced the appointment of Zhuang Hua as Chairman, and Lu Haifeng as CEO of the company, effective July 22, 2022. With the retirement of former Chairman Zheng Jiandong, and former CEO Zhu Haoli appointed as the Chairman and CEO of Shanghai Highly New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (HNET), the change was approved in Highly Marelli’s Board Meeting on July 22, 2022.

Zhuang Hua is the CEO of Highly Group and is appointed as the Chairman of Highly Marelli as a concurrent role. Zhuang joined Shanghai Highly Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. (formerly Shanghai Hitachi Electric Appliances Co., Ltd.) in 1993, and has held several positions in the company. He has been the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and President of Shanghai Highly (Group) Co., Ltd. since April 2021. Zhuang holds a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Lu Haifeng joins Highly Marelli from SAIC Motor, where he served as General Manager of SAIC Motor Innovation Center (Israel) and Deputy Director of SAIC Motor Commercial Vehicle Technology Center. Lu joined Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd. in 1997, and has built a 25-year career in the automotive industry. He holds a master’s degree in both Engineering and Business Administration.

Lu and the company’s Co-CEO, Keiichiro Miyanaga will be working closely as the new leadership team of Highly Marelli, and will lead the company to walk a steady and progressive way in developing its traditional business and new products.
